“Derby schools are led by a seven-member Board of Education (BOE). The Board members are elected at-large, and serve four-year terms. The Derby BOE has several functions:
Establishes policies for the district; (Click the button to the right to view Board Policies) Sets short and long-term goals for the school system; Selects and evaluates the superintendent of schools; Holds the superintendent accountable for accomplishing district goals; Works closely with the administrators, school staff, and the community to set district goals.”
